Writing Assignment
For Unit 2, you will read several pieces on the topic of education, specifically higher education. Then write a five- paragraph essay on the issue of earning an education past high school. Specifically, what is the best path after a person graduates from high school – work, community college, university, apprenticeship, and why? he assignment will require the following paragraphs:
An introduction paragraph that opens with an attention grabber, follows with context, and concludes with a well-developed thesis sentence (Thesis statement = claim + reasons)
Three body paragraphs that elaborate on the reasons listed in the thesis. You will also be asked to integrate supporting evidence from your readings into the body paragraphs

Conclusion paragraph that offers a call to action or a prediction
This assignment requires that you argue a specific path post high school. You cannot stand in the middle and discuss all the paths.
