What your academic and professional goals are, personal achievements, and why you are pursuing a nursing degree at Alamo Colleges.
I am a 1st generation student seeking an associates in nursing San Antonio college and then returning to get my bachelor’s in nursing.. I was born and raised in san Antonio. My parents are divorced so I grew up in a single parent home. I come from a low-income family and I my parents were the ones to push me to attend higher education. Also seeing them struggling helped motivate me. I chose Alamo colleges because they are competitive and affordable and so that I can pull myself and my family out of this low-income status. During my undergrad years, I worked full time and went to school full time. My strengths are determination and commitment to see things through.
